The New Balance 2002R Protection Pack Eclipse combines elements of the New Balance 2002 and the 860 and lends an edgy design to the upper. Dressed in a stealthy colorway with hits of earth tones, this runner also has a bit of a trail shoe vibe.
The Protection Pack Eclipse iteration of the New Balance 2002R features an upper with a base of black ripstop overlaid with layers of jagged dark blue and gray nubuck that give the upper both style and structure. The heel counter is black, laid over a goldish-tan ripstop with New Balance branding. Cord laces with a lock at the top complete the rough and ready look of this upper.
