The Onitsuka Tiger Mexico 66 Triple Black is a classic training shoe that borrows design elements from the 1961 LIMBER-UP training shoe.
The Triple Black Onitsuka Tiger Mexico 66 has a black leather base. A t-shaped black suede toe cap appears on the front, while black Onitsuka Tiger racing stripes appear as overlays on each side. A black suede X is found on the heel beneath a pull tab with the word Tiger on it. The tongue also contains an Onitsuka Tiger logo patch. The shoe sits on a thin black midsole and black outsole.
What we think are the standout features of this sneaker are the suede accents, which are few and subtle but add some nice texture to the design. The Onitsuka Tiger Mexico 66 Triple Black hit the market for the first time on August 1, 2023, for an original price of $120.
