Naomi Osaka was named one of the "People of the Year" by COMME des GARÇONS and SWITCH Publishing in 2020. Nike teamed up with COMME des GARÇONS to celebrate this accomplishment by creating a special Blazer Mid ‘77 Vintage for her.

This Blazer Mid ‘77 Vintage included many of the same features found in other versions of the sneaker. Although it was constructed out of white textile instead of leather like most Nike Blazer Mid ‘77 Vintage sneakers, it still had the sneaker’s patented foam tongues, suede mudguards, and large leather heel pieces that feature Nike branding.

But it’s the personal touches on these Blazers that we love so much. They have a replica of Osaka’s signature on each shoe along with the words "Home Is Where the Heart Is" right underneath it. The Nike Blazer Mid Comme des Garcons x Naomi Osaka was released on December 5, 2020 for a retail price of $120.
