The upper on this Air Zoom Alphafly Next% 2 was constructed out of an Atomknit material that was designed to be both lightweight and breathable. It also featured a blend of full-length ZoomX foam and Zoom Air units to provide it with plenty of cushioning. There was even a thin rubber outsole on the bottom of the shoe that was put in place to deliver superior traction.

But in our expert opinion, it was the design of the midsole that set this running shoe apart from all the others that are out there. More specifically, the back of the midsole jutted out near the heel to give it a funky and unique appearance compared to other shoes like it.
