The ASICS GT-2160 Earls Collection Ngāwari pays homage to Lewis Brown, the man who founded the high-end sportswear label. Created with Māori cultural touchstones, this singular sneaker pops with style grounded insignificance with every step.

Built upon an upper of natural cotton mesh, the Earls Collection x ASICS GT-2160 Earls "Ngāwari" features brown suede overlays undulating across the shoe, offering signature style and structure. Light green detailing along the heel, laces, and supportive midfoot plate are a nod to pounamu, an emerald-colored rock found in Southern New Zealand. A cream-colored EVA midsole encapsulates emerald GEL inserts in the heel for ultimate cushioning. The multi-colored outsole features lugs for tractions and grooves to reduce the weight of the shoe and facilitate flexibility.

Our favorite aspect of this sneaker is the insole design. A graphic depicts a paua, a large New Zealand sea snail. The ASICS GT-2160 Earls Collection was released on February 23, 2023, for $150 retail.
