The upper of the Black Graphite Grey ASICS Gel-NYC draws inspiration from running shoes from the early 2000s, including the Gel-Nimbus 3, while adding embellishments sourced from the MC-Plus V. Black mesh serves as a base for synthetic leather overlays in Graphite Grey and metallic silver. The rounded edges of the overlays give the metallic silver a fluid look that resembles mercury or liquid metal.
