The ASICS Gel-Kayano 14 Monaco Blue is an updated version of the Gel-Kayano 14 featuring a late 2000s aesthetic with newer technology. This iteration was the first shoe in the line to be designed by someone other than Toshikazu Kayano.

This version of the ASICS Gel-Kayano 14 is made of a Monaco Blue mesh upper with synthetic leather overlays appearing in silver and Slack across the midsole. The toe is also rounded out by a silver overlay. The shoe features original GEL technology for shock absorption and cushioning. The sock liner is also produced in a way that reduces carbon emissions by 45%, so this shoe is also more sustainable than other models.

What we like most about this sneaker is the Monaco Blue base and the pops of the same shade that appear on the rubber outsole. These notes of color make the otherwise basic shoe stand out. The ASICS Gel-Kayano 14 Monaco Blue was first released on August 26th, 2021, at a retail price of $160.
