Part of NBA champion Michael Jordan’s legacy originated with the Nike Air Jordan 1 sneaker, which Jordan wore for the first time during the 1984 NBA season. This shoe went on to spawn a general public release and its own division at Nike. With the XXX1 Black Cat, the Jordan brand aims to capture Michael Jordan’s catlike predatorial performance on the basketball court via the shoes' lightweight feel and responsiveness.
