The adidas NMD R1 Pharrell Black Future was part of a Triple Black collection that adidas and Pharrell teamed up for in 2020. It’s one of the many sneakers that Pharrell has introduced through adidas since signing with the brand in 2014.

As its name would suggest, this sneaker featured an all-black knit textile upper with reflective Three Stripes on the sides. The rope laces used on the shoe were also reflective to make it pop in the dark. Additionally, this adidas NMD R1 x Pharrell Future creation sported a full-length Boost midsole designed to provide it with extra cushioning.

But our favorite aspect of this sneaker was the forefoot plug that included the logo for Pharrell’s Humanrace brand on it. It helped Pharrell put his stamp on this shoe and separated it from other NMD R1 options. The adidas NMD R1 Pharrell Black Future was released on December 12, 2020, and retailed for $150.
