adidas decided to rebrand its Iniki Runner sneaker in 2017 by changing its name to the I-5923. The company then released the adidas I-5923 in a variety of new colorways, including the adidas I-5923 Chalk Pearl Core Black, over the next few years.

This updated adidas I-5923 featured an off-white knit mesh upper with suede panels worked into the mix on the heel, toebox, and eyestay. It also included pops of black on the heel, tongue, and Three Stripes branding, and it even had "I-5923" branding incorporated into it.

But in our expert opinion, the best part about the I-5923 was something you couldn’t immediately see just by looking at it. adidas added Boost technology to the midsole to provide it with more cushioning than the Iniki Runner was able to offer. The adidas I-5923 Chalk Pearl Core Black was released on January 1, 2018, and it retailed for $130.
