This iteration of the adidas Gazelle has an upper made of nubuck leather and raffia, a palm tree native to tropical Africa. These woven raffia fronds make up the base of the upper in a Linen Khaki color, while nubuck leather overlays in the same color form the t-shaped toe cap, the eyestays, and the heel. The adidas three stripes appear on each side in beads in varying shades of blue, and blue stitching is seen at the heel, trimming the tongue, and attaching the upper to the braided midsole. The shoe sits on a classic rubber sole.
