Every so often, Jordan Brand releases an Air Jordan specifically for Europeans to enjoy. The Jordan 1 Retro Gym Red falls into this category, as it first came to light in 2014 as a European exclusive. It has, however, since made its way to the U.S. and is one of the most eye-catching versions of the AJ1 ever introduced.

This AJ1 has an upper constructed out of full-grain leather, with suede used on the toe box and collar. It's covered from front to back in a vibrant Gym Red color with pops of white used on the leather Swoosh, the "Wings" logo, and the tongue tag to provide contrast. The midsole is white as well, with red stitching completing its look.

Our sneaker experts love that Jordan Brand didn't attempt to reinvent the wheel with this AJ1 and instead allowed the Gym Red color to add a new dimension to it. The Jordan 1 Retro Gym Red was released on June 28, 2014, and it initially retailed for $140.
