The ASICS Gel-Kayano 12.1 Ronnie Fieg Knicks comes from the mind of Kith founder Ronnie Fieg and adds several updates while maintaining the core of the Gel-Kayano 12.1. This sneaker comes in a colorway of blue, silver, and orange that celebrates the New York Knicks.
At the Ronnie Fieg Knicks ASICS Gel-Kayano 12.1, While the upper keeps the original Gel-Kayano 12 mesh and leather construction, the midsole features tooling from the Nimbus 17. Designed for distance running, the Nimbus 17 midsole gives the sneaker a performance-driven aesthetic. The signature tiger stripe overlays feature Cream and silver, which complements the subdued Cream base and allows the splashes of orange and blue to stand out.
Our experts appreciate the meaning behind the design elements embroidered on the tongues. The left shoe displays ‘Kayano’ in Japanese, which celebrates the designer behind the original Gel Kayano series, while the right shoe features ‘Friend’ in Japanese, which pays tribute to Kith’s slogan.
