Nike celebrated the 20th anniversary of the Air Max 98 sneaker by introducing it in a handful of different colorways in 2018. The Nike Air Max 98 Hyperlocal UK was one of the many colorways to hit the market as Nike sought to show off one of its Air Max staples in a new light.

The upper on this Air Max 98 is made with mixed materials that are done up in mostly white with bold pops of gold worked into the mix. The gold used on the mudguard, in particular, really stands out, as does the gold utilized on the Nike branding on the shoes. There is a large "Air Max" logo on the medial side of the sneakers, too, along with 00°00′ coordinates on the insoles of the sneakers and "2018" on the heels.
