The adidas Energy Boost Packer Shoes x Solebox Silfra Rift is part of the adidas Consortium Sneaker Exchange that involves the Berlin sneaker store Solebox and the New Jersey retailer Packer Shoes. The sneaker design takes inspiration from the Silfra Rift, a point in the Mid-Atlantic range where North American and Eurasian tectonic plates meet, creating a rich array of blue water. The geological meeting point is used to symbolize the coming together of the two sneaker outlets.

The Primeknit upper of the Packer Shoes x Solebox x adidas Ultra Boost Silfra Rift in gray and aqua reflects oceanic colors, while the texture nods to air bubbles. The translucent synthetic support cage is meant to recall the tectonic plates themselves. Aqua blue laces close over an aqua blue tongue to further enhance the oceanic feel. A white Boost midsole offers cushioning and energy return, while the white rubber outsole absorbs shock and offers traction.
